East Grand Forks Public Schools is the only district in the area that does not have an operating levy. The operational expenses are now outweighing what the current budget can support, which is what Question One on the November 3rd ballot will aim to address. Thank you to everyone who supported our students and activities throughout Homecoming Week. East Side Pride was certainly on display! We had great attendance at both the football game and homecoming Dance, and we appreciate the tremendous community support.
Unfortunately, we also experienced a number of behavioral issues involving elementary and middle school students at the football game. As a reminder, students in 5th grade and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all extracurricular events.
Please remind your students that they are attending these events to watch and support the activity taking place. The district provides free admission to encourage our students to attend, but we also expect appropriate behavior.
Attending extracurricular events is a privilege, not a right. Students involved in behavioral issues may be asked to leave and could lose the privilege of attending future events.
Thank you for reviewing these expectations with your students and for helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support and East Side Pride!
