During our second session of Parent/Teacher conferences on November 1st (invitation only), we are also hosting a Youth Transition Exploration Fair.
This is being put together by a small team throughout our community. The goal is to inform parents of all things available to them and their children as they transition through high school and out into the community. There will be about 12 tables with information, pizza, salads and fruit (easy supper). Swag bags are being handed out. There are two nice door prizes to be given away. A few of the tables are; Polk County MA, Voc. Rehab., ASEC, Social Security, DAC, LSS, etc. Most of these services are available for almost all students on an IEP.
