Central Middle School Earns Gold Star of Innovation Award for Celebrating Student Success

Central Middle School has proudly been recognized as a Gold Star of Innovation Award winner by the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP), in partnership with Horace Mann. This prestigious award honors schools across Minnesota for creating and supporting exemplary, innovative programs that foster academic success and student growth.

Central Middle School earned the Gold Star distinction for its Students of Excellence (SOES) and Students in Good Standing (SIGS) initiative that shine a spotlight on promoting academics, attendance, citizenship and positive student behavior. Together, these programs continue to make CMS a great place to be.

As a Gold Star Winner, Central Middle School will receive a $250 award, a certificate of recognition and an award banner to be proudly displayed at CMS.

The Star of Innovation Award includes three levels of recognition—Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Central Middle School joins an elite group of schools who have imagined new ways to support students and have also seen measurable success in their efforts.

This recognition reflects the vision and leadership of Principal Jill Walter and Assistant Principal Beth Vetter, as well as the incredible dedication, creativity, and teamwork of the entire Central Middle School staff. Their commitment to creating a positive, student-centered environment has made a lasting impact on the school community.

Congratulations to Central Middle School on this outstanding achievement and to the students and staff who continue to make CMS shine!
