East Grand Forks Public Schools ISD 595 provides healthy meals each school day. Starting school year 2023-24, we are joining Minnesota's Free School Meals Program. All students can get one breakfast and one lunch free of charge each day at school. Although no application is required to receive this free meal benefit, filling out the Application for Educational Benefits is still important!
Approved educational benefits applications also provide our district with increased funding to ensure students receive the support they need. With your approved application, your child(ren) could also receive discounts on the following fees: activity, technology, academic test, college application, and after-school childcare. In order to increase our district's funding so that we are able to provide these additional educational benefits, please complete the on-line application at School Pay or the paper application at Application for Educational Benefits.Or Application for Educational Benefits (SOMALI) Free/reduced information is confidential. All families are strongly encouraged to fill out the Application for Educational Benefits. A new application must be submitted each year.
Also, this year we are offering complimentary student activity passes for all children in your household with the completion of an application by September 22, 2023.
Once you fill out the application, please allow up to a week for processing. Families will need to pick up their activity passes at the District Office. You must present your pass upon admission to events. There will be no lists available at the events for verification. If you cannot present your pass, you will be expected to pay the entry fee, with the exception of the first three home boys soccer games of the year (8/24, 8/25 & 8/31). To allow time for processing the applications, there will be no charge for students at those three games. The adult admission fee remains $6.
