Last night South Point held their Bingo for Books. Mrs. Kallock, Title 1 teacher, summed up our I Love to Read month by stating, "Along with the Literacy Team, I would like to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and dedication to promoting reading throughout this year's "I Love to Read" month. March was full of exciting assemblies and activities for our students. The encouragement you all give to our students on a daily basis makes a difference!
The 'Bingo for Books' family event was held yesterday evening and it was a great success. A big thank you to everyone who helped set up, assisted with the event, and brought their families to play bingo.
South Point Staff members are SuperHeroes!





Get ready for someone to do your school shopping for you for the next school year. We will again be offering shopping from School Tool Box for the 2025-2026 school year.

Stella Schuh is our Good News Call of the Day.
Paraprofessional Mrs. Peiris nominated Stella and had this to say about her: "Stella has graciously had lunch with and supported a struggling classmate the past couple of weeks. She is always willing to help out whenever needed."

Carly Buzzo is our Good News Call of the Day!
She was nominated by her teacher, Mrs. Truedson. Here is what Mrs. Truedson said about Carly: "Carly takes care of her classroom and classmates everyday. She takes time to straighten up our room and help classmates complete their assignments. She is a great help in the classroom! I appreciate her kindness and willingness to help others."

Friday we celebrated World Down Syndrome day. Students and staff were encouraged to wear their crazy socks in honor of this day or wear blue and yellow as these colors represent Down Syndrome.

This past Tuesday we had the pleasure of having Dr. Erin Peterson visit South Point. She shared a presentation of her first children's book.

Sophya Castro is our Good News Call of the Day!
She was nominated by our secretary, Mrs. Yanish. Here's what Mrs. Yanish said about Sophya: "Sophya helps a student in her class with special needs after lunch everyday. She makes sure he gets to where he needs to be. She is a sweetheart."


Ethan Runzel is our Good News Call of the Day.
He was nominated by paraprofessional Mrs. Boeckers who had this to say about him: "Ethan is a great kid. He is very helpful to me and others. He always has a smile on his face."

Ally Larson is our Good News Call of the Day!

Today was our kick off for I Love to Read month. The Book Bandits stole our Super Hero's books! So we are calling on South Point Super Readers to help Rosie, Rusty and Susie our Super Hero Readers, to get their power back by encouraging Super Readers to read as much as they can through the month of March.
