Welcome

Welcome to All students and families of New Heights Elementary

As the Principal of New Heights I would like to again recognize and thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to educating kids! It may have been in-person or via distance learning or a combination. EVERYONE worked so hard!

As we begin the new school year I would like to start by reinforcing the commitment by all to the safety and well being of our students. The mitigation efforts will continue to be in place. Staff and students are welcome to wear masks. Social distancing will be enforced to the best of our ability. To continue to be safe, New Heights will again be screening the entrance to the building through the call-in system at door 1.

Last year was unique to us all. COVID interrupted the flow of learning throughout the school year. Teachers and students and families worked together to provide everyone high level educational opportunities. COVID continues to impact the education for New Heights' students. We will need to work together as a community to keep us all safe, engaged and informed.

On the first day of school all teachers will be available to take pictures in the front of the building. There will be staff available to help with transitioning students to their classrooms. Parents are asked to be prepared to separate from their student before entering the school building.

New Heights has added a staff parking lot! This opens up the South side of 15th Street to be used as a drop off zone. The school block on the South side of 15th street will be used as a stop and drop zone. There will be No Parking allowed in this area. Every student being dropped off in this zone should exit the vehicle from the Safe Side (passengers side). Only the student/s should exit the vehicle. Parents are asked to remain in the vehicle throughout the drop off process. There have been crosswalks painted in several places along the street for safe crossing access also.

Last year was unique to us all. Teachers and students and families worked together to engage in high level educational opportunities. COVID continues to impact us all. We will need to work together as a community to stay safe, engaged and informed. Any changes in procedures will be relayed asap through all our communication channels.

Here's to a Great 2021-2022
