Next week we offering the students (and staff) at CMS to participate in a couple of Community Service Activities.  Flyers that contain more information about both are attached to this message.

1) Season of Giving (Birthday Bag Project)

Items we are collecting by grade/group:

Grade 6 Girls - cake mix

Grade 6 Boys - canned frosting or a box of frosting mix

Grade 7 Girls - package of birthday candles

Grade 7 Boys - medium size gift bag (to hold all the items on the list)

Grade 8 Girls - package of balloons

Grade 8 Boys - plates (solid, bright colored, or birthday themed)

Female Staff - package of napkins - bright solid colored

Male Staff - plastic tablecloth (solid, bright colored, or birthday themed)

We will collect these items from Tuesday, December 10th through Friday, December 13.

Students who bring an item will receive a chance to win a prize as well as treats for their Advisor Class!


2) Cold 3 for Christmas - EGF Police and Fire Departments, Polk County Social Services and the Iron Pig's Motorcyle Club are collecting gifts for children 16 years old and younger (new, unwrapped) or cash donations.  The drop off sites listed are the EGF Police and Fire Departments as well as the East Grand Forks Hugo's.  Officer Gunderson will gladly pick up any gifts, or cash donations, that are brought to the office at CMS.  Collection is going on now through December 13th.
